Well, that was a Great place to try. I would keep in touch with them. Not bug them; but let them know you are around and a little bit tenacious.
That sucks. Have a good cry, eat some pizza and cherry garcia, watch some good John Hughes movies and remember that this will make a great chapter in your future memoir about conquering the world and being fabulous.
